Meeting Spaces in Bloomington – Normal (Nonprofit Consultant)

I work remotely at home in my role supporting Illinois Partners for Human Service, but I regularly plan meetings for small, medium, and large groups of nonprofit executives and other stakeholders around Bloomington – Normal. Finding just the right meeting space can be challenging; there are many options, but they vary widely in terms of fees, capacity, audio, projection, parking, and location. To my knowledge, there isn’t a public list anywhere that centralizes information about McLean County meeting venue options. So, I am sharing mine, because I know other meeting planners and consultants experience the same challenge.

I am a big fan of Trello. I use it for both personal and business purposes, both individually and collaboratively. In this case, I created a Board to organize all of the meeting locations and details I’ve amassed over time into three Lists: Small, Medium, and Large. Under each List, you’ll see a Card for each meeting location. Clicking on individual cards will open the card up to show you more information about the space, including capacity, location, contact information, photos, and other details.

I made this Meeting Space Board public, so you don’t need a Trello account to use it, but you may want to get a Trello account. If so, click here to join this board – so you can add resources to it – and Trello in general – so you can create your own boards for other stuff.

One of the “Power-Ups” added to this Board is the Map feature.

When viewing the Meeting Space Board, click on the “Map” button on the top right corner, and it will toggle to a map view of where all the meeting spaces are physically located! To switch back to list view, just click Map again.
