Custom Wood Basement Bar by Prairie Woodworks (Architectural Interior Photography)

Recently I had the opportunity to make interior images of a custom basement bar installation for Prairie Woodworks. The bar is inside of a private residence in Bloomington’s Tipton Park neighborhood. Get ready for some serious party room envy…

The bar boasts exquisite details such as beadboard backsplashes and siding, soft-close cabinetry, built in spot and strip lighting, a mirror, dishwasher drawer, ice-maker, wine cooler, sink, and wine glass rack.

The bar is constructed of cherry wood with stain, black glaze, and clear finish. The glaze adds depth, which creates an aged look.

Oh, and then there’s that little beer refrigerator…

Prairie is known for arts and crafts style woodwork, which is reflected in the Greene and Greene-esque corbels under the bar countertop.

Prairie also built the sofa console seen below, which doubles the bar-counter seating for people watching one of the four televisions in the basement.

The gas fireplace is the final touch to this beautiful and functional space for entertaining and watching sports!

Stay tuned for more projects by Prairie Woodworks coming soon!
