Grant Writing for Community Health Care Clinic (Central Illinois / Grant Writer / Nonprofit / Consultant)

Between January 1 and June 30 of 2018, I contracted as a grant writer with Community Health Care Clinic in Normal, IL. As a free clinic serving adults without any kind of health care coverage, the agency relies entirely on grants and donations for operations. Over the course of this six-month contract, I helped write grants to the American Medical Association, Hillman Foundation, Pfizer, and Telligen. The clinic is doing some amazing, innovative work, and since I most of my career has been in health care policy, I thoroughly enjoyed partnering with this important organization!

Free clinics are a vital part of our healthcare system and economy. They help manage chronic diseases, improve health and quality of life, avoid unnecessary hospitalizations and ER visits, and serve people that otherwise wouldn’t have anywhere to go.

Thank you to CHCC for this opportunity!

Note:  Working from home, I am fully equipped for remote work and document sharing for projects such as this. I use 17Hats to manage quotes, contracts, time tracking, and invoicing, which I highly recommend!
